The town of Cullen wanted a logo design that promoted the benefits of visiting this historic borough, that is home to the world famous Cullen Skink.
Cullen is a popular tourist destination in the north east of Scotland and has a fabulous beach, great places to eat and drink, plus many independent shops. The community council approached me to help them promote the town by designing a logo they could use on print material and online, and to create a town map detailing the many places to visit.
Cullen has an iconic viaduct – you can walk and cycle over as part of the National Sustrans cycle route, and you also drive underneath it to get to the town or beach. I knew right from the start that it had to be included in the logo design! As well as the viaduct, the other key things that people visit the town for are the beach and the sea.
The new logo appears on signage throughout the town, and is being used on the towns social media platforms. It is already starting to help raise the profile of the town.
